Union Minister of Textiles Kavuru Samba Siva Rao on Friday claimed that the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill 2013 would not be tabled or approved during the ongoing session of the Parliament.
Speaking to media persons here, Kavuru said that efforts were on stop the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. "We have our strategies, plots and weapons to stop the bifurcation," he said. However, he ruled out the possibilities of tabling of the Bill during the ongoing extended session of the Parliament.
When asked about the possibilities of Union Cabinet clearing the Telangana Bill, he announced that he stage a walkout from the cabinet meeting if Hyderabad was not declared a Union Territory. He said that the residual State of Andhra Pradesh would be of no use if Hyderabad is not made a Union Territory. He also rejected the assurance of Group of Ministers (GoM) of providing all facilities to Hyderabad without granting it a UT status.
